Blur text in a screenshot in four steps
- Drag the screenshot into ClipScrub. You can also open an image from the file picker.
- Select Blur from the editing tools.
- Drag over the area you want to soften.
- Choose Save to export the edited screenshot.
Use redaction for private text
A blur can be partially reversed. Use the Redact tool for passwords, patient details, account numbers or other private information.
Solid and gradient redaction discard the covered pixels. The exported screenshot has no editable overlay.
Find sensitive text before you share
ClipScrub scans the screenshot locally and highlights the names, dates, contacts and formatted identifiers it finds.
Add a manual Redact box over anything ClipScrub missed.
Detection can miss sensitive information. Review the final screenshot before sharing it.
The exported screenshot has no metadata
ClipScrub rebuilds the image from the edited pixels. The exported image contains no source metadata.
